Bubble Machine Comparison - What Bubble Machine Should You Choose?

On a recent YouTube video of the BeamZ B300 bubble machine by our resident bubble-boffin and product expert James, a comment was left by a viewer with a question.

User-rd3lj4gn4s (catchy username by the way!) asked ‘when will the comparison be made with the B1000? We thought that to be a valid question and so we flew James out to our remote testing facility in Peru, with nothing but peanuts to eat and bubble machines to test for a whole month. After some gruelling testing, he returned and filmed the above video, responding to dear User-rd3lj4gn4s.

As you can see from the video, there are differences as well as similarities, but it’s clear to see that there are a variety of uses suited to each type of bubble machine. Let’s take a look at the BeamZ B300, B300LED, B1000, B1500 and B2500, discussing the uses and features of each, as well as any pros and cons to help you choose one over the other.

BeamZ B300 & B300LED Bubble Machines

When it comes to most bang for your buck - or should I say most pop for your pocket - you can’t go wrong with the BeamZ B300. It is the most affordable bubble machine currently available, coming in under £30 at the time of writing, but it produces ample bubbles for a kid’s party or small event.

The BeamZ B300 is easy and quick to set up, making it perfect for any newcomers to the world of bubble machines since this machine requires zero previous knowledge or experience. Simply plug it into the mains, fill the fluid reservoir with liquid and turn it on.

Conveniently, a remote control is supplied with the B300, allowing you to operate the machine from afar without you needing to operate it with the button on the back of the machine every time you want bubbles.

The BeamZ B300LED has all of the features of the B300, except it has 3 LEDs at the front. These LEDs can have either a static colour or run an automatic pre-programmed show. The lights are effective in lighting up the bubbles, and provide a bit of extra excitement and fun to the bubble output.

There are no real negatives to highlight, other than to say that lower-priced items don’t always function at the same levels as the higher-priced products. For example, there will be bubble fluid residue on the surface in front of the machine making it a bit messy. Likewise, we wouldn’t recommend moving the machine when liquid is in the reservoir as it’s easier to spill.

So all in all, the BeamZ B300 and B300LED bubble machines are a fantastic and fun way to bring bubbles to a kids’ party or small event. If pushed to choose between the two, it would make sense to choose the BeamZ B300LED. For a very small amount of extra money, you get a party light included with the bubble machine, which adds an extra layer of fun to your event.

Pros:

  • Most affordable bubble machine available
  • Quick and easy set-up
  • Remote control
  • Light effect included (with B300LED model)

Cons:

  • Can spit a little bit of fluid
  • Can’t move machine whilst in operation

BeamZ B1000 Bubble Machine

The BeamZ B1000 bubble machine is a real step up in quality when compared to the B300.

The BeamZ B1000 is a more reliable and professional bubble machine that is suited to DJs, big house parties or large events. It is bigger and better in every way: it has a larger reservoir, larger bubble wands and a more powerful fan.

Made from durable ABS plastic, yet still lightweight enough for easy transportation and the rigours of regular use, the B1000 lends itself to small to mid-sized events. The bubble reservoir is 1.8L in capacity, much larger than the B300’s, meaning more bubbles for longer, which is always a plus.

In terms of anything negative to say about the B1000, there is nothing, other than to say that the pricing of the BeamZ B1000 is so close to that of the next bubble machine that we’re comparing that there isn’t much sense choosing the B1000 when the B1500, and all of it’s features, is easily within reach.

Pros:

  • Better quality than B300 bubble machines
  • Larger reservoir
  • Larger bubble wands

Cons:

  • So close in price to the BeamZ B1500, why not upgrade?

BeamZ B1500 Bubble Machine

The BeamZ B1500 bubble machine is very similar to the B1000, except it has a larger capacity and a handy pouring spout.

The B1500 also boasts two bubble wheels with dual fans, ensuring you get plenty of bubbles - fast! Made from strong ABS plastic, you’ll be able to easily transport this machine without fear of it getting damaged easily.

A handy spout built into the plastic lip of the mouth of the bubble machine makes it so easy to decant the excess liquid from the 2L fluid reservoir. The larger fluid capacity is obviously a plus too as it means you’ll need fewer visits to the machine to refill it.

Likewise, the B1500 has a remote control that allows you to activate it from a distance without having to hang around the machine whenever you want bubbles.

In comparison to the B1000, the B1500 is heavier simply due to the fact it has more parts, and so if weight is a concern this could be a downside. However, the difference in price is so minimal it makes more sense to choose the B1500 over the B1000 since for a few more pounds you can have double the bubbles for longer.

Pros:

  • Robust design
  • Easy-pour spout
  • Dual bubble wheels
  • Dual fans

Cons:

  • Heavier than the BeamZ B1000

BeamZ B2500 Bubble Machine

Now the BeamZ B2500 is in a league of its own when compared with the B300, B300LED, B1000 and B1500.

A bubble machine designed for professional functions, it has an increase in fan power and therefore bubble production. The powerful twin fan unit blasts bubbles out to every corner of the room. It has the largest tank of the selection, 2.5 litres which means less refills. A full tank gives about 40 minutes of bubbles.

Perfect for indoors and outdoors, the large and open-fronted reservoir is easy to keep topped up with fluid.

The handy remote control, carry handle and wheels make this bubble machine a pleasure to operate and use and very easy to transport and store.

Pros:

  • Professional-quality bubble machine
  • Largest tank (2.5L) of selection
  • Dual fan, dual wheel
  • Wheels for easy transportation

Cons:

  • Quite large and heavy compared to the others in the comparison list
  • Bit excessive for a small event

Conclusion

The thing to keep in mind when it comes to comparing bubble machines is context. The context for when and where and what they are being used for will really help to steer you towards the bubble machine you need. For a small party for kids, there is no need for a professional BeamZ B2500. Likewise, a BeamZ B300 bubble machine wouldn’t be very effective at a larger outdoor gig. It is best to consider your needs and expectations before buying to ensure you get the best bubble machine for you.
