The MP3 format really transformed how we store, organise and listen to music. It cannot really be understated just what an epic game-changer the MP3 has been since its introduction to the consumer audio market.

The ability to have an entire DJ music collection on one portable device such as a USB stick or hard drive really ushered in the end of an era for many. Digital Audio Media Players

For background music purposes, there are media players such as the PDC40 from Power Dynamics which include a DAB digital radio tuner, giving you access to hundreds of stations, alongside MP3 playback via USB input.

This model and several others in our DJ media player range feature the ever-useful Bluetooth connectivity, allowing streaming of audio from smartphones and tablets.

The inclusion of Bluetooth and direct USB playback brings you the huge benefits of both wireless and stored digital formats to your older DJ rig, integrating easily with older mixers and amplifiers for a low-cost system upgrade.

Several of our media players include an MP3 recording function, allowing you to record your mix set to the media players USB or SD storage, converting the incoming analog audio signal from the units line inputs or microphone inputs into the MP3 format.
