Shop Disco Party Lights
Disco Party Lights are excellent for any celebration, easy to use and powerful lighting that provides long-lasting great performance. Professional DJs and many other entertainers use our lighting fixtures to greatly elevate their performances and further engage their audiences. We have one of the biggest range of party lights on today's market, with systems such as UV Light Bars, moving head lights and much more.
Most of our LED disco light range includes a handy remote control for operating your lighting at a moment's notice. One of the best ways to get the most from your lighting fixtures is to couple them with effect machines. This could be a bubble, snow or smoke machine depending on which effect is most appropriate for the specific occasion.
We encourage our customers to get creative with the placement and colours of lighting and effects, this provides excellent results at parties. Try mixing uplighters or PAR can spotlights with light bars to create a stunning wash effect that covers entire walls with colours. Perhaps you could direct light towards one of our mirror balls to refract the beams all across your dance floor.
What types of LED Disco Lights are there?
There are many different types of party lights available which range from lasers to derby lights, strobe lights to light bars. You'll notice many items have a video attached to their listing so you can see which style works for you. We also stock portable wireless lighting fixtures too, once their batteries are charged you can place them wherever you like.
Some of the uplighters on the event lighting category page have a massive 8-hour battery life after a full charge. Set them up as you like and go about your business as a long-lasting light effect maintains the party atmosphere. Laser lights look especially great when there is a smoke effect in the room, smoke details the entire laser effect.
Moving head lights are a popular choice for those who take lighting seriously due to their professional spinning light effect. Our range of moving heads are compact and powerful and most come with DMX capability, usable in many pro productions. They come with built-in light shows and a miniature microphone that detects prominent frequencies in your music and reacts accordingly.
Can I transport my lights easily?
Many of the products in this category range from small to medium size, most are able to fit inside most cars comfortably. You can save yourself some space by looking into the "PartyBars" we stock, all come with different lights but come packaged with a lighting stand and carry bag. Glance through the lighting bags and cases page or browse other lighting accessories for other ways to use your party lighting.
Much of these light units have handles incorporated into the design, these handles can be used in a few ways. Hang up the lights from stage trussing, a T-Bar or fix to the ceiling, alternatively use the handles as a kickstand to allow directional usage. Protect your lighting as you travel around, you could avoid potential accidents by considering the range of BeamZ protective cases.
Another idea is to navigate the lighting packages category too, you’ll find lighting bundles that may suit your requirements better. This category could help you save time and money, not to mention alleviating a little pressure from our warehouse team. There are also a few items here that are more tailored toward professional use, but most are for smaller practices.
Can I fix these lights to the ceiling?
As mentioned, a lot of these lights come with handles that allow them to be mounted onto walls or to the ceiling. This is helpful as the lights also tend to come with remote controls so once they’re up on the ceiling you can still operate them. This avoids the need to get your ladders out each time you need to change the colour of the lighting.
Inside their boxes, you will often find small brackets so if you have made an order, be sure to double-check the box. These small bracket additions will assist in the mounting of your lighting system, you may need to dig out your toolkit for this task. Lights attached to the ceiling will give the best light coverage for your audiences, illuminating at least the dance floor is a relative must in this day and age.
If the party is more of an in-house celebration, don’t forget to shop through our house party lights category. There you will find a few pages of affordable and reliable lighting options that will enhance any party atmosphere massively. You may be questioned if you attach these lights to the ceilings at home though so be sure to check with the homeowner!
Origins of Disco Lights
Disco became a huge deal in the 1970s and way back then most of the lighting available was bulb-based. These bulbs ran very hot and caused unnecessary issues for venue promoters all around the planet, nowadays we have LED. LED is a far more efficient way to illuminate parties, using less electricity and emitting minimal heat, while being far brighter than a bulb system.
Nightclubs back in those days were not overly concerned with health and safety so as time has gone by we needed to adapt. LEDs make for a better party experience, looking better and not being a red hot light people had to dance beside back then. Of course, if your venue is totally full of any lighting the temperature will rise but there is a way to do it tastefully and safely.
While filament bulbs are now mostly a thing of the past, they do still have their place for more subtle effects in theatre for example. But when it comes to modern parties with modern music LED will always have you covered, they even have LED ultraviolet lights too. The UV blacklight effect is enjoyed by thousands every day across multiple industries, especially within the entertainment and events scene.
