Multi Zone Amplifiers

Multi zone audio amplifiers can be used with a large number of installed speakers, and this is due to 100V line operation where the impedance load of the speakers can be separated from the amplifier. 100V line systems perform the best for background music in commercial settings and also for public address announcements.

Having a multizone amplifier means that you can adjust the volume level of different speakers separately rather than all speakers in the system. This can be utilised effectively in a warehouse environment where you need the music to be slightly louder in certain places than others. For example, if you have an office in your warehouse, you won't need the speakers to be as loud as the ones in the main working area, so having volume control for each zone makes for a highly adaptable solution for your requirements.

Matrix amplifiers work in the exact same way as standard zone amplifiers, but you have the added bonus of different inputs for different zones. For example, you can have a laptop playing background music in one zone, but then you can connect a smartphone to another input for different music in another zone. Although these are usually used in commercial spaces, this can be great for home installations if you want different music in different rooms.
