My fascination with the Audio-Visual industry first started when I reached an age where I could participate in conversations with my music-enthusiast family. However, it was when I discovered the world of light and sound that my interest truly took off. The immersive experiences of light shows, concerts, and gigs provided me with a unique form of mental stimulation that captivated my senses and fueled my passion for the Audio-Visual realm.

In 2017, upon completing my A-levels, I decided to take a gap year to explore new experiences and determine my direction for the upcoming year at university. It was during this time that I developed an interest in the events industry and the intricate setups required for events. Despite choosing to continue my education for an additional 3 years instead of immediately pursuing a career in the Audio-Visual industry, I am now venturing into something entirely different with an open mind and a strong desire to learn.

Throughout my life, living with a neurodivergent disability, I have discovered immense pleasure in visual and audio presentations. From light shows to festivals, gigs, and concerts, these events have an unparalleled ability to captivate my senses. The thought and equipment involved in creating these experiences have always fascinated me, especially since my teenage years when I began exploring various music genres.

Since I was a child, my family has actively involved me in their shared passion for music. Growing up, I gained a basic understanding of amplifiers, record players, and the range of speakers used both in our household and in band setups. This early exposure to audio equipment has proven invaluable as I recently joined the ElectroMarket team. Drawing upon my existing knowledge, I am aware of the areas I need to further explore and deepen my understanding in order to provide comprehensive and insightful written content.

Over the past few years, my passion for gigs and concerts has grown massively. What was once merely a favourite pastime of listening to pop music in my bedroom has now evolved into actively attending alternative and indie events. This interest became a leading factor in my decision to purchase my very own record player— a blue briefcase record player. Naturally, I then got my hands on my first vinyl, and since then my collection has been ever growing.

Since starting work at ElectroMarket a short time ago I have already gathered information about how lighting and certain audio equipment were the reason I found events so captivating, my knowledge will only grow from now on.
