Our head-worn wireless microphones are comfortable and practical. Whether you need multiple bodypack transmitters or a choice of UHF microphone frequencies, we can provide the right wireless headset microphone for your needs. Wireless mic headset systems allow you to move with ease as you perform, with no wires or hand-held devices to worry about, making them ideal for presentations.

We offer wireless headset microphone systems that come with 1 to 4 mics in total. Each set will include a receiver that will be connected to the mic input of your sound system, and the bodypacks will connect wirelessly to the receiver using VHF or UHF frequencies. With our sets that come with more than one bodypack, each one will be set to a different frequency which means you can use them all at the same time without the worry of interference.

Many of our wireless mic headset systems also come with a lavalier microphone that clips onto your clothes. This provides a much more discreet look which is perfect for presentations and meetings. These are also commonly used in reality TV so that each person's voice is clear without it being obvious that they have a microphone connected to them.

What is the best wireless headset microphone?

The headset wireless microphone that you choose will depend on the situations you will be using it in. For example, if there is the potential that more than one microphone will need to be used at a time, it would be best to go for a set including two or more bodypacks. If you will be using the microphones at a far distance from the receiver, a UHF system would be the best choice for you as it has extended range capabilities.

For use in locations like churches and pubs, you won't need to go for the more professional equipment, a simple VHF system would work perfectly for you. VHF microphones don't have as much range as UHF mics, but they still offer great clarity and signal strength at smaller ranges.

If you are going to be using more than one wireless system in the same location, UHF microphones will be the better choice as they offer a wider frequency range. The multiple frequencies that UHF systems can operate on means that you have the choice to use more than one of them in the same location without worrying about unwanted interference or crosstalk issues.

Some of the higher end UHF systems give you the option to select different frequency channels for each bodypack. This is a great feature as it allows you to use more than one of the same system in one location, perfect for larger stage productions where multiple people will need to be heard.

Does a wireless headset microphone need speakers?

All of our wireless mic headset systems will need to be connected to an external speaker system for sound to be reproduced. They are easy to set up; simply connect the receiver component of the set into the microphone input on your speaker system or mixer, put batteries into the bodypack, connect the microphone to the bodypack using the included cable and you are ready to go.

Depending on the room or setting you intend to use the headset microphone(s) in, you won't need a large speaker system for it to be effective. Any voice consists of mid and high frequencies, so getting a speaker with a small woofer would be perfect due to the lack of low bass frequencies in a voice.

What makes wireless headset microphones good?

There are many advantages to using a headset wireless mic system. The main advantage is that you have the ability to be completely hands-free whilst using it which proves to be ideal for performances and speeches or presentations.

Headset microphones can be secured to your head nicely thanks to the adjustability of the design. By adjusting the headset securely, you can be sure that it will stay in place which is perfect for dance instructors and stage users.

Wireless headset microphones are especially useful if you are performing but your hands aren't free, for example, if you are playing an instrument and singing at the same time.

For presentations and speeches, headset microphones are extremely useful, as you will need to use your hands to point to certain elements of your presentation, as well as using your body gestures to get your point across more clearly.

Another reason that wireless headset microphones are great is that they are much more discreet than a handheld device. For uses such as theatre performances and stage shows, you don't want to be holding a microphone for the entire performance. We offer headsets in a tan finish for maximum discretion when on your head, or you could also utilise a lavalier microphone that clips onto your clothes which is included in many of our sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do wireless microphones work?

Wireless microphones typically function via a powered transmitter that is connected to a receiver. The microphone attaches to the transmitter via a wire, which then converts the audio signal into a radio frequency signal. This signal is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver, which when connected to a speaker produces the inputted sound.

What do you need for a wireless microphone?

To use a wireless microphone, you need a compatible receiver to connect to your audio system. The receiver picks up the microphone’s signal and transmits it to speakers or amplifiers. Ensure the pack is charged or powered for use with the microphone.

What are the benefits of using a wireless headset microphone?

Wireless headset microphones offer hands-free convenience, allowing users to move freely while speaking or performing. They provide clear audio transmission and are ideal for activities requiring mobility, such as presentations, fitness classes, and live performances. The secure fit and lightweight design enhance comfort during extended use.

Can wireless headset microphones connect to any sound system?

Wireless headset microphones can connect to most sound systems if the receiver is compatible. Ensure the system supports the microphone’s connection type (e.g., XLR or 1/4-inch jack) and operates on the same frequency range. Compatibility with amplifiers or powered speakers may also be required.

Can you use any wireless microphone?

Not all wireless microphones are universally compatible. The microphone must match the input type and frequency range of your audio system. Ensure the microphone’s receiver is compatible with your equipment and that the microphone’s transmission range and signal type (UHF, VHF, or Bluetooth) suit your needs. Always check the specifications before use.

Do you need a speaker for a wireless microphone?

Yes, a wireless microphone typically requires a speaker to amplify the sound. The microphone sends its signal to a receiver, which then connects to a speaker or audio system. Active speakers with built-in amplifiers can connect directly, while passive speakers require an external amplifier to produce sound.

Are wireless headset microphones good for fitness instructors?

Yes, wireless headset microphones are excellent for fitness instructors as they provide hands-free operation and allow freedom of movement. They are lightweight, durable, and designed to stay secure during active sessions. Many models also feature sweat-resistant designs for added reliability in high-intensity environments.

Do wireless headset microphones require special batteries?

Most wireless headset microphones use standard batteries, such as AA or AAA, or include rechargeable battery packs. Always check the microphone specifications for battery requirements and keep spares on hand for uninterrupted performance.
