Laser stage lighting projectors are the most powerful lasers we have to offer. Their suitability ranges from medium-sized halls to large clubs. The wattage of the lasers ranges from 400mW to 5W guaranteed output, making for the most impressive laser stage show you could expect from a high-end production.
The lasers in this range feature ILDA and DMX control. These options are best if you are looking to run multiple lasers at a time as you can hook them up to a PC or DMX software for much higher customisation and control. With a higher-end stage production, you will most likely be using DMX control for your lighting rig, but you wouldn't necessarily need to hook it up to a laser if you are only using one, as you can utilise the standalone or sound-to-light mode instead.
Although you would usually run mini laser stage lighting with DMX or ILDA, you can still run them in standalone or sound to light mode. The standalone mode is great in itself as the laser will have built-in auto shows which provide a three-dimensional display of light, sure to impress any crowd. The sound to light mode offers the same patterns, but it will react to any sound picked up by the built-in mic with adjustable sensitivity.
As with all lasers, stage laser lights are best used with a smoke machine or haze machine. If you want to get the most out of the patterns and displays that the lasers are capable of, smoke, or preferably haze (which is thinner), in the room is essential.
How Does Laser Stage Lighting Work?
Professional stage lasers work by projecting an extremely thin beam of light through multiple mirrors and then out of the front of the unit. The built-in mirror mechanism is what allows lasers to produce hundreds of different unique and impressive shapes in the air (only if used with a smoke or haze machine).
The mirrors themselves within each laser club light also allows for an extremely wide dispersion of light and large surface coverage. The unit itself stays stationary while mounted onto truss or a lighting stand, and the mirror mechanism in the laser allows the light rays to move quickly and clearly.
In a professional stage setting, laser stage lighting projectors are being seen more and more commonly and are a highly regarded aspect of a light show for both audiences and event hosters. The higher-end units in this range are more suited to large stage and club applications, as they will be too bright and powerful for small applications.
Within our range of professional stage lasers are units with full red, green and blue colour modulation. This gives you the ability to achieve many different colours with the same laser unit, either at the same time or separately. The wide variety of colours combined with the shapes that these lasers can produce combine for a truly impressive display of light.
Are Professional Stage Lasers Safe?
Professional stage laser units offer extremely bright beams of light that aren't completely safe. The bright beams of light that these professional lasers produce can cause blindness if exposed to eyes for a long period of time. Due to this, there are many safety regulations that have been implemented over the years that laser units have risen to popularity.
It is extremely important that laser stage lighting units are aimed above the head level of your audience with no possibility of the beams coming into contact with people's eyes. If you would like to produce a scanning effect over your audience, it is ideal to go for laser units with a lower wattage rating, and only scan the audience for a small amount of time.
All of our laser stage lighting projectors are FDA approved, meaning that they are completely safe to operate and don't require any training or special licenses to acquire. They should still be aimed above the head level of your audience for maximum safety when in use. The regulation that lasers should be aimed above the heads of audiences is a good thing though, as it means that you can clearly see all of the patterns that the laser is producing.
It is a common belief that lasers can burn through surfaces if they are strong enough. Although this is true, lasers of this power are not accessible to the general public and are not suitable for use in stage performances, making our professional stage lasers completely safe to operate.
DMX Laser Club Lights
Many, if not all of our laser club lights in this category allow for DMX control. DMX gives you full control over the laser and the effects it produces, such as colour, shape, patterns, movement and brightness. You can program your own shows for the lasers to perform, ideal for large applications alongside live music.
DMX compatibility also means that you can produce your own custom patterns and designs. It is quite an in-depth process involved to be able to do this, but once you've got a hang of it, you can produce your own custom patterns and logos.
The modulation level that our professional stage lasers have to offer means that you can produce extremely clear patterns and beams with high clarity and resolution. This makes this range of lasers great to use for custom words on a backdrop, for example, which can be programmed using DMX equipment.
