Other than the obvious suggestions such as does the remote have batteries in it, or are you using the correct buttons (left and right handed triangles are the volume) you will need to talk to our customer service department who can go through your issue over the phone to determine if the unit is faulty. Call them on 0203 326 0900

The unit has bass and treble controls for manual adjustment. The EQ settings are preset and are not able to be altered, assuming that it was you meant

Just above the 'bass' dial is a button with two opposing arrows. Click that once, and the amplifier should then be in Bluetooth mode
