The effect that our DJ UV lights produce is achieved with the use of LEDs, which differs from other styles of UV lighting like tubes and bulbs. The LEDs make for a much brighter effect which is why they are better for DJ use, as you will more likely be using them in larger rooms instead of smaller rooms for house parties as an example.

All of our UV lights are extremely user friendly, as with the majority of them, all you need to do is connect them to mains power and switch them on. UV lighting should wash an area with light and enhance lighter colours in the room, so the simple plug-and-play design of our lights makes this easily achievable.

A couple of the UV lights in this category can also be used as a strobe light. For a mobile DJ, strobe lighting is a common effect that most would say is essential. Having a strobe option on a UV light isn't usually something you would see, so if you want to stand out from the crowd and have a unique lighting display, these options are for you.

UV light bars are another style of DJ UV lighting. These all come with adjustable mounts so you can attach them to your DJ booth or lighting stand, and they provide a wide area coverage which is achieved from their parabolic reflector housing. Using DJ UV Lights For Event Lighting

Our assortment of DJ UV lights is suitable for use across several different function requirements, such as weddings, DJ sets and parties. Supplied in a plug and play format, they are entirely portable and easy to set up in any location with a simple mains power supply connection.

Most of our DJ black lights come with included double mounting/resting brackets that make it easy to set up at events and venues. Take weddings with marquees as an example, any of our UV bars (like the BUV123 Light Bar) will suit being used here, where resting them on the floor at an upwards angle will create an atmospheric purple wall wash effect.

The brackets can be mounted to light stands, T-bars and trussing for overheard placement, where the output of the lights will be optimised for total coverage of any setting.

Alternatively, they can be used more typically in lively environments. They are most commonly used in rave and disco settings where white and light colours are illuminated by ultraviolet luminosity and create purple and green hues. Also perfect for Halloween parties, where the purple wash of light complements the decorative and spooky ambience.

High Powered DJ Black Lights

Due to the fact that they comprise of either multiple LED lamps or diodes, rather than bulbs, they are incredibly powerful in their dispersed light with the ability to brighten large spaces particularly.

The COB30UV from BeamZ has COB technology ("chip on board"), which uses miniature diodes on single modular PCB chips resulting in an output of light that is equivalent to a 300W floodlight. Definitely more suitable for stage lighting rather than small parties, they can flood the space with an angled wash of light.

Other lights are made up of several UV lamps in one robust, durable casing to provide defined wash light effects. Built-in parabolic reflectors in most of the DJ UV lights we have on offer optimise the overall output, where the light bounces off of the surface and is redirected outwards into the venue’s space.

For interesting and customisable light performance, we have light bars like the LCB48 which has six controllable segments. The divided sections of LEDs, fitted into parabolic reflector housings, means that you can create chase effects at your own discretion, with different timings using the DMX controls. Also available are light bars with independently switchable LED colours, with some offering a purple UV, white and warm white options for varying lighting options at your gigs.

DMX Functions

Amongst our range of DJ UV lights, there are many equipped with DMX functionality. This addition is very convenient for programming your own show with an array of effects that the lights can offer. With different effects attached to each DMX channel, you can manually program any fixture in a setup to do different tasks to suit your needs and accompany your setlist or the atmosphere of the function.

If you are going to be DJing at a high energy party or in a club, you may want to consider utilising effects like strobe, which can greatly enhance the enjoyment of your audience. This will also pair perfectly in scenarios such as raves, where the combination of flashing strobes and UV lights will create the ideal atmosphere.

Instant And Easy Setup Options

With DMX comes the option to use some lights in a master-slave synchronisation. Daisy-chaining the fixtures together with their DMX line ins/outs allows you to control a whole system of lights by only addressing one. By setting one light to run an effect at a specific and changeable speed, the whole line will run the exact same commands, making it easy for you to set up your lighting rig which also pairs well with their instantly mountable designs.

In comparison, you could run the DJ black lights on pre-programmed shows for an impressive display that will suit many situations without requiring the knowledge of more complex DMX programming. Or, you could set the lights to work through sound activation. Working on an in-built mic, the lights can perform different light displays that respond in time to any music or audio picked up which makes for a unique effect that looks like you have specifically designed it to work that way.
