Product Description

Vonyx SWP18 PRO Active DJ Subwoofer 18" 1200W RMS

The Vonyx SWP18 PRO Active DJ Subwoofer 18" combines professional-standard performance with rugged reliability. Specifically designed as a versatile bass reinforcement system for DJs and performers, this subwoofer smoothly delivers rich, distortion-free audio across its full frequency range. Whether for live sound applications, club setups, or event venues, it offers clear powerful bass suited to any audio environment.

Detailed Features and Benefits:

Impressive 18" Woofer Design

The large diameter woofer effectively reproduces deep, defined bass tones, eliminating unwanted resonance. Its MDF cabinet construction minimises vibration, ensuring consistently clean audio. DJs benefit by having a clear, accurate bass presence, enhancing audience engagement and overall audio clarity.

Integral 1200W Amplifier

The integrated amplifier directly powers the subwoofer, omitting the complexity of external power amps. By providing consistent, reliable power output (600W RMS), this 18 Inch Powered Subwoofer meets professional requirements at events or venues demanding solid sound coverage. Users enjoy simplified setups and expanded reliability, especially beneficial in fast-paced venue environments.

Advanced Low-pass Filter Adjustment

A precision-knob allows users to set the cut-off frequency from 40Hz to 250Hz. Essential when pairing subs with various speaker systems, this flexibility fine-tunes the acoustic profile and eliminates unwanted frequency overlap. DJs can quickly adapt from smaller venues to large halls, maintaining harmony between bass and higher frequencies.

Phase Adjustment Capability

Switching between 0° and 180°, the phase alignment option synchronises the subwoofer's sound wave output with the main speakers. This prevents acoustic cancellations that often diminish overall bass response, guaranteeing consistent and accurate sound delivery regardless of speaker placement.

XLR and RCA IN/THRU Connectivity

Robust inputs and outputs simplify connecting your audio source and adding additional subwoofers for larger systems. This linkage flexibility minimises manual cable handling and setup complexity. With effortless scalability, DJs and event professionals can customise sound reinforcement reliably for diverse spaces.

Applications:

The Vonyx SWP18 PRO is ideal for those needing a reliable DJ Powered Subwoofer in live scenarios, including DJ setups, mobile discos, nightclubs, concert halls, and event venues. It meets the demands of professional musicians, sound engineers, and event organisers who require accurate bass reproduction and flexibility in scale and acoustic performance. Whether used alone or as part of larger audio systems, it's a practical choice for situations that require consistent sound clarity and sufficient bass projection.

Additionally, venues offering multimedia presentations, theatre productions, or stage shows appreciate the sound quality and easy setup features of this professional-grade subwoofer. Its rugged MDF cabinet facilitates secure transport and provides easy grip handles for moving between locations.

Summary:

The Vonyx SWP18 PRO Active DJ Subwoofer 18"" effectively provides clean, reliable bass sound reinforcement for a wide range of professional audio applications. Built with practical features like adjustable filters, phase control alignment, and multiple input/output connections, it is equally suited for smaller club events or larger audio installations. At around 27 kg, it balances portability with structural stability, further supported by an extra-hard coating that prolongs field reliability. This DJ bass subwoofer solution ensures professional users can depend on consistent, clear-edged audio performance under diverse acoustic conditions.

Hi could you please explain and show with a diagram how to connect this subwoofer to a pair or vonyx AP1500ABT 800W via the XLR ports. I have the XLR cable to link them both together so they work off one remote. Wanting to just increase the bass many thanks Dave
Question by: Dave on 15 Aug 2019, 21:52
If you are connecting up both of the AP1500ABT speakers together, then you would need to come out of the XLR line output on the 2nd speaker and into 1 of the XLR inputs on the subwoofer
