They have a 2-way coaxial design that consists of a separate 8-inch woofer and half-inch tweeter driver that the frequency range of any audio is distributed between efficiently for a clear sound output.

The NCSS8 speakers also have magnetic fitting steel mesh grilles that provide a low profile look once installed in the ceiling due to no screw holes being visible. The magnetic design ensuresthat the grilles can be easily removed from the housing of the speakers, perfect for customisation purposes should you need to paint them a different colour, for example.
