Recording Microphones

Our recording microphones are all in a condenser style, which means they have to be plugged into a piece of equipment with extra voltage being supplied to the mic, such as audio mixers or directly into a PC. Condenser microphones are best for recording vocals or anything with low gain sounds, such as acoustic guitars or pianos.

As well as standard condenser microphones that are mostly used in studio settings, we also offer microphones that can be connected to a smartphone or camera. These come with a 3.5mm jack cable that can plug into most cameras, phones and laptops. They also include shock mounts, so they can be attached to the camera or phone itself for ease of use. As well as this, they have pop filters, so if you have it connected to your phone for vlogging outside, the pop filter will reduce most of the unwanted wind noise in your recording.

Another style of recording mic that we offer is shotgun mics. These have long and slim bodies, and can also be plugged straight into a smartphone or camera. With polar patterns like cardioid and hyper-cardioid, these are great for recording more than one person or audio source, making them ideal for film, theatre or recording speech in meetings.
