Home Studio Kits

The majority of our home recording studio kits will feature a condenser microphone. Condenser microphones provide the best quality recorded audio for speech due to the high-sensitivity design. These can usually be plugged directly into a PC with a microphone input, but for PCs without a mic input, we have packages including mixers. This is important, as condenser microphones need added voltage known as phantom power in order to operate.

With the studio mixers we offer in these packages, you can plug them into either your PC or into an audio interface connected to your PC. This allows you to have complete control over the audio of your microphone because of the adjustable EQ, volume and effects settings. These mixers also provide extra line inputs that allow you to plug external audio devices into it, such as DJ controllers or smartphones.

A lot of our kits feature a boom-arm style stand for microphones. These can be fitted to the edge of a desk using the clamp, and then you have easy movement and adjustability for your microphone. These boom arm stands often feature a pop filter. The pop filter is placed in front of the microphone, and this works as a noise filter for harsher sounds in speech such as sibilance, ensuring that the recorded audio is as smooth as possible.
