The Hercules DJControl Compact is a small DJ controller that can be used effectively at home or on the move. The compact design allows placement in tight spaces and easy portability as it fits in most backpacks and carry bags.

To connect the Compact DJ mixer controller to your PC or laptop, simply plug the included USB cable from the connection on the controller into a USB connection on the PC. Mains power isn't required for this DJ console so you can use it on the move, whether it be on the train or in the garden.

Included with this small DJ controller is the DJUCED 18 software. This is a fantastic software for beginner DJs as it includes features such as video DJ academy, interactive help, IMA (Intelligent Music Assistant) and beatmatch guides. That being said, it is a modular interface so you can customise it to fit your tastes, making it great for more advanced DJs.

This DJ controller has two jog wheels that allow you to scratch as well as cue tracks. For scratching purposes, they provide a sense of realism as they scratch digital audio to make it sound like a more traditional turntable system. The jog wheels are smooth to handle and offer extremely precise control to ensure that your tracks line up perfectly.

Each side, or deck, of this DJ controller has 4 touch pads that you can use to customise the sound. Including effect, loop, hot-cue and sample modes, you have plenty of options to create your own personal mixes. There are also features such as pitch, sync and crossfade, so you have everything you could need at your disposal to mix tracks in a compact and portable manner.
