Our passive pairs of speakers for DJs will require the use of an amplifier. Having a separate amplifier gives you great control over the audio, but you will need to ensure that the amplifier you're using is suitable for the speakers in terms of specifications. The wattage and impedance load of the amplifier needs to match or be higher than the specifications of the speakers, as this ensures the best quality sound and trouble-free operation.

By using a pair of passive speakers, you can achieve stereo audio which is ideal for any DJ, whether you are a beginner or a professional one. Stereo audio means that the left and right signals of your mix will be produced separately by the respective speakers. You will be able to hear smaller details in the music that you may not hear with a single speaker, as well as providing your audience with a more enjoyable and immersive experience.

An advantage that using passive speakers provides for a mobile DJ is that you will only need one power socket to power both speakers, which will be connected to the amplifier. Some venues have limited power sockets available, and this can be problematic if you have several items to power in your setup, so using passive speakers gives you one more available slot.
