Bedroom DJ Setup

Included in our small DJ sets are active or passive pairs of speakers. Active speakers have a built-in amplifier so can be connected straight to a mains power source, while passive speakers need to be connected to an external amplifier to be powered. For a bedroom DJ, either of these are good choices. Active speakers mean that you have less equipment altogether as you don't have to factor a separate amplifier, while using passive speakers saves a power socket on your wall as it's only the amplifier that will need mains power.

For someone looking to get a new DJ setup, an audio mixer is essential. Having an audio mixer means that you can connect all of your devices such as your decks and laptops to one device and then control the audio from there. Our mixers have multiple line inputs to cater for this, and they have easy controls such as volume, EQ and crossfade, which is everything that a starting bedroom DJ will need.

Several of our bedroom DJ setups will include speaker stands to mount the speakers onto. These are great, as they provide a professional look to your setup, and they also save on floor space if you have limited space in your room. By having speaker stands, you also have your speakers at head-level, and this is ideal for the clearest and best-sounding audio possible so that mixing is a comfortable experience.
