Many of our Bluetooth PA speaker Pairs are active/passive sets. This means that one speaker is active and requires mains power, while the other speaker is passive and connected to the main unit using a speaker cable. These are great as you can achieve wireless stereo audio from one device while only taking up one power socket.

For any pairs of speakers that are both active, we have included the necessary cables to connect the two together. Each active Bluetooth speaker has a line output on it, so if you connect from the line output of one speaker into the line input of the other speaker using the provided cable, you will get audio from one device through both speakers at the same time.

Several of our Bluetooth PA speaker pairs include speaker stands. Speaker stands are great for events, as they look more professional than just having the speakers set on a flat surface or the floor, and also improve the overall audio quality of the speakers. By mounting speakers on stands, you eliminate any rattling that would occur on a flat surface, and the speakers will also have better sound dispersion around the room which is ideal for larger music events.

What are they?

Bluetooth PA speaker pairs are a set of two PA speakers that can be connected to other devices wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. This type of setup is commonly used in larger event spaces, such as concert venues, conferences, and outdoor events, where a more significant audio coverage area is required.

Pairing two Bluetooth PA speakers also enables the user to achieve a stereo sound output with better sound quality and wider sound dispersion. By using two speakers, the audio is spread more evenly throughout the space, creating a more immersive and engaging listening experience.

Furthermore, many of our Bluetooth PA speakers are active/passive sets, which means that one speaker is active and requires mains power, while the other speaker is passive and is connected to the active speaker using a speaker cable. This is very helpful since it allows the user to have two speakers set up whilst only taking up one power socket.

Some PA speakers also have a microphone input, which allows the user to speak into a microphone and have the audio from it come through the speaker(s). Most PA speakers also have the ‘talk-over’ feature, which quietens the music/audio already coming through the speaker(s) when the user is speaking into the microphone, allowing everyone to hear their voice clearly.

Where can Bluetooth PA speaker pairs be useful?

Bluetooth PA speaker pairs are useful in a variety of different scenarios due to their versatility. One place in particular where they are best suited is concert venues. Bluetooth active speakers are commonly found in concerts, and they are used by venues and bands so often since they provide high-quality and powerful sound reinforcement for musical performances.

The speaker pair can also provide a wide coverage area, which is important for ensuring that the crowd can hear the performers, whilst the portability features included in some speakers (such as handles and/or wheels) help to move them around effortlessly. Similarly to concert venues, Bluetooth PA speaker pairs are useful in festivals and fairs for the same reason, since they are similar types of events to concerts.

Bluetooth powered PA speakers are also very well suited for DJ setups. DJs often use two speakers for the stereo effect, which offers a much more immersive and engaging listening experience to the audience; Bluetooth PA speaker pairs tick this box since there are two of them that can be placed on the right and left sides of the audience. What’s more, is that they can be easy to transport, thanks to their lightweight design and the potential inclusion of handles and/or wheels.

Finally, another place where Bluetooth PA speakers are common are conferences and seminars. The clear audio and wide coverage area are crucial for these sorts of settings since the people in them need to make sure that they hear what is being said. In these scenarios, the talk over feature wouldn’t be used as much if at all, since the speaker would just be using it solely to speak and not to play any additional audio.

What are the advantages of using pairs of Bluetooth PA speakers?

Bluetooth active speakers have become increasingly popular due to their many advantages. One of the primary advantages of using Bluetooth PA speakers is their wireless connectivity. With Bluetooth technology, users can connect their speakers to various devices without the need for cables and wires. This eliminates the risk of tripping hazards and makes it easy to set up and use the speakers.

Many Bluetooth powered PA speakers are also portable, which is ideal for events that require sound reinforcement in various locations. These speakers are easy to transport and set up thanks to the inclusion of handles and/or wheels, making them a popular choice for DJs, musicians, and event organisers. Bluetooth PA speakers are often easy to use and operate, with many models featuring simple controls and user-friendly interfaces. They can be paired with Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, allowing users to easily control the audio playback.

Bluetooth PA speakers are also versatile and can be used in a variety of applications, including music performances and conference rooms. They provide a flexible solution for sound reinforcement needs, allowing users to easily adapt to different settings and requirements.

The active/passive dynamic of the speaker pairs is also another advantage of using these speakers. Having an active/passive system means that the passive speaker should be plugged into the active speaker’s built-in amplifier, with the active speaker itself being plugged into mains power. This saves space and only uses one power socket, which also means that it is very simple to set up.

What can Bluetooth PA speaker pairs include?

Some Bluetooth PA speaker pairs (like DJ PA speakers) can include handles and/or wheels to help transport the speakers around. This adds an element of portability to the speakers and makes them better suited for DJs and venues, who will need to be constantly moving their speakers and taking them with them to places.

Party PA speaker pairs are also designed to be transport-friendly, often including handles and/or wheels. There can also be lights in the speaker, which can add to the ambiance of your party and fit in well with any decor of any setting, be it home or professional.

Additionally, some Bluetooth PA speaker pairs include stands and bags for the speakers. Stands help to elevate the speakers off the ground so that everyone can hear them, while also offering them a stable place to be positioned. Speaker bags offer a great way to protect your speakers when you are not using them, whilst also offering a secure way to carry them from place to place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many devices can be paired to a Bluetooth speaker?

The number of devices that can be paired with a Bluetooth speaker depends on the specific speaker and its capabilities. However, in general, most Bluetooth speakers can pair with multiple devices, but can only be connected to one device at a time.

How close together do Bluetooth devices need to be?

The distance at which Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other depends on a number of factors, including the strength of the Bluetooth signal and any potential obstacles between the devices.

In general, Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other over distances ranging from a few inches to up to around 10 metres, depending on the Bluetooth class and version of the devices.

Can I connect a pair of Bluetooth PA speakers to my phone?

Yes, you can connect a pair of Bluetooth PA speakers to your phone if your phone has Bluetooth connectivity. Simply turn on the Bluetooth on your phone and pair it with the Bluetooth PA speakers. Once the speakers are paired, you can stream audio from your phone to the speakers wirelessly.

Which Bluetooth PA speaker pair is the best?

The best Bluetooth PA speaker pair for your needs depends on several factors, such as the size of the room where you will be using it, the number of people you will be addressing, and your budget.

If you are planning to use the speaker in a large space like a hall, you will need a larger and more powerful speaker. However, in a smaller room, a smaller speaker may suffice. The number of people you will be addressing is also a crucial factor; if you are speaking to a large group of people, you will need a more powerful speaker to ensure that everyone can hear you clearly.

How do you prolong the life of your PA speakers?

Regular maintenance is key to ensuring that your Bluetooth PA speakers last as long as possible. One of the best ways to preserve your speaker is by cleaning it frequently. Dust and dirt can quickly build up on your speaker(s), so cleaning them with a dry cloth is important.

In addition to cleaning, storing your speaker(s) in a safe place can also help prolong their lifespan. Also ensure that you do not over-drive the speakers, as this can result in blown drivers and/or damage to the built-in amplifier.

Can multiple Bluetooth devices interfere with each other?

Yes, multiple Bluetooth devices can potentially interfere with each other. Bluetooth uses radio waves to communicate between devices, and if multiple Bluetooth devices are operating in close proximity to each other, they can potentially interfere with each other's signals.

How does Bluetooth work?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that enables data exchange over short distances. It establishes a secure wireless connection between various electronic devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, headphones, and speakers. A speaker gains versatility by having both wired and wireless connectivity options available to connect with various devices.

What is the difference between Bluetooth PA speakers and normal active PA speakers?

Bluetooth PA speakers and normal active PA speakers are both designed to amplify audio signals and project them to a larger audience. However, there are some key differences between the two types of speakers.

One major difference is connectivity. Bluetooth PA speakers have Bluetooth connectivity built-in, allowing you to stream audio wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled device like a smartphone or tablet. In contrast, normal active PA speakers typically require a physical connection via a cable and do not have Bluetooth connectivity built-in.

Do Bluetooth PA speaker pairs come with a microphone?

Whilst most PA speakers are equipped with a microphone input, a physical microphone won’t always come with the speaker(s). If this is the case and you want to be able to have your voice come out of the speaker(s), then you will need to purchase a separate microphone.

Do speakers get worse with age?

Speakers can deteriorate over time due to wear and tear, but whether they ‘get worse’ is subjective and dependent on various factors. Some speakers may last for many years without any significant decline in performance, while others may experience a noticeable decrease in sound quality over time.

The main reason for this decline is that the materials used in the speaker components can deteriorate, such as the material that holds the speaker cone in place, or the voice coils that help create the sound. In addition, exposure to dust, dirt, and other environmental factors can also affect the performance of the speaker.
