DJ studio speakers, or monitors, are an extremely popular choice by most DJs in today's industry. Not only are they ideal for home mixing, but they are also highly useful in a live scenario. In a home setting, you would have the monitors facing you for the most accurate audio possible. Small DJ speakers are ideal for this as you don't need the speakers to be overly loud for mixing purposes.

Without having DJ monitors in a live setting, you will only be hearing the main speakers facing your audience. Although the main speakers will be loud, this is not great as the audio can sound delayed to you if they are a couple of metres away, and this makes for a much harder time mixing and getting your audio cues correct.

Our DJ monitors come in active/passive sets, which means that one speaker needs to be connected to a power source while the other one is wired to the main unit with a speaker cable. Having an active/passive set is useful as they will only take up one power source compared to have two self-powered speakers.

To utilise them effectively, you would connect DJ monitors to the 'booth' output on your audio mixer or DJ controller. The majority of the time there will be a separate volume control for your main output (the speakers facing the audience) and the booth output, so you can adjust the volume of the monitors to your liking.
